Fabric is key to my practice and I use stitch and applique to draw and sculpt everyday objects that are frequently overlooked and often associated with women’s lives. I am a Fine Art graduate of Middlesex University and have been an artist/educator since 2005. Teaching roles include delivering ‘A’ level Textiles classes and being a Workshop Leader at the Barbican and Create London. Exhibitions include ‘Art in Mind’ at La Viande Gallery in Shoreditch and ‘Nearly Ready’ at London City Airport. As co-founder of the ethical customised clothing business, ‘Queenie and Ted’ www.queenieandted.co.uk , I’ve loved creating hundreds of pieces of wearable art that women treasure. I currently work at the Royal Academy of Art and couldn't live happily without the process of making things with cloth nearly every day.
